Surfing in Cornwall

Thanks to its temperate climate, steady waves coming in from the Atlantic and huge amount of surfing beaches all across the North Coast, Cornwall is one of the best places in the UK to surf! That’s why it’s a core part of our summer school programme.

Our surfing excursions always have alternative activities on offer too such as a coast walk, beach games or relaxing on the beach.

Shore Surf

Located on the stunning Gwithian beach with the famous Godrevy lighthouse in the background, surfing doesn't get better than this. Gwithian is such a huge beach (over 3 miles long!) that our students have loads of space to learn.

St Ives Surf School

Our days in St Ives wouldn't be complete without a bit of surfing. These lessons take place on Porthmeor beach, just opposite the Tate St Ives art gallery.

Newquay Surf School

Great Western beach in Newquay has a long and famous history of surfing, making it one of the coolest surf spots in the country.

Fistral Beach Surf School

Another school in Cornwall's surf capital, Newquay, Fistral has fantastic waves that make it perfect for surfers of all abilities.
